Its hot, its humid and play is in the air. Friends circle around and the first meats come off the grill. This year’s picnic was like all other ones, unique, special, and not wanting to end.
We discussed how we are ‘sick people,’ we go home aching and limping only to walk back in the next day for more. We view the world a little different, yes we don’t like things like everyone else, but we know we have duties and that there are times that our feelings don’t matter.
We discussed real life. We train for health, for self defense, for character – for life! Sometimes things get into conflict, like the world’s need for helping hands and the problem of being made vulnerable when helping. We know that being Polite doesn’t mean not demanding Respect. Thats life.
Thank you to Matt Sheridan for making the trip and sharing our 200 year history. Thank you master Fletcher for coming in and sharing some laughs.
We had good food, got some free t-shirts, and even trained a little – in summery: we did life together
